About Us

Class Hours

Daytime classes run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break.  Evening classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and sometime include a Saturday session from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Registration

Please register early.  Request enrollment online on this website, by fax at (703) 749-4029, or by telephone at (703) 749-4030.  New Horizons will check class availability and contact you within one business day to confirm your enrollment.  Payment is due prior to attending classes.  Voucher users must bring all vouchers for multi-day classes on the first day of class.

Classes Start Promptly

Because late arrivals disrupt class flow, we ask that you arrive 20 minutes prior to class start time.  If you are more than 15 minutes late your seat may be given to a student on standby.  If you arrive more than 30 minutes late you will not be admitted to class.

Late Cancellation Policy

You must cancel computer user classes three business days (ten days for technical classes) prior to class for a full refund -- there are no refunds after that.  For late cancellations, club members or applications voucher users will be assessed a $50 registration fee, and technical voucher users a $200 fee.

Severe Weather Closing Policy

Should the federal government close due to severe weather, New Horizons will not conduct classes.  School closings, liberal leave policies, and delayed openings will not affect our normally scheduled class start time.

Other

Audio and video recording is not permitted in New Horizons classes.  New Horizons reserves the right to change class names, prices, dates, times, content, and other policies without prior notice.  Classes are subject to cancellation.  New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Washington, D.C. is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
